Reconnecting with old friends is an important part of life. Whether you send each other a text and set up a lunch date or randomly happen upon each other while strolling down the aisles at your favorite market, the feeling of joy you get is something that can’t be matched. And while things may be awkward at first, depending on the length of time it has been since you’ve seen the other person, you soon pick up right where you left off.

As I stated in an earlier article, my significant other and I go to central market downtown almost every weekend. There’s so much to see and so much to eat, you absolutely cannot do it all in one weekend. This weekend, the downtown area was hosting a flea market for shops without a brick and mortar location. I took the time to take a look at all the different stands and interact with each of the vendors and learned a lot of cool things. I love supporting as many local businesses as I can. And while I was down there, I got the chance to reconnect with a really cool friend from middle school.

Today’s fashionista really knows how to put together an outfit. The attention to detail and effortless execution of total cohesion are really awesome. One of my favorite parts of this outfit is the leather jacket. When you throw on a leather jacket, you instantly become cooler. It’s a fact of life that you just can’t deny; I don’t even think science can explain it. Obviously, if you’ve decided to wear a leather jacket, you have to pair it with a shirt that won’t take away from it. A solid color shirt with no other details is your best bet. This fashionista threw in a pop of color that really aided in the overall look of the outfit, without distracting from the jacket.

You guys know I love the color black; it’s literally all I talk about. Whenever I see someone wearing a pair of black pants, I’m all about it. I know that a lot of times black pants aren’t known for their details, because you can’t see much unless you’re up really close, but they don’t have to be. They’re such a classic and a staple in the modern wardrobe that you can pretty much wear them with any outfit and still look put together. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a black pair of pants.

I’m not exactly sure what you’d classify these boots as (would they be considered a Chelsea?) but I absolutely love them. Leather boots, like leather jackets, are infinitely cool. But what makes these boots even cooler are the awesome straps wrapped around the back. I love that this style of boot has become popular again within the past couple of years because they’re so classic and stylish. When you put on boots like these, you’re walking in style.

Let’s not forget about that awesome backpack this fashionista is sporting. Almost any outfit can be enhanced or complemented by any sort of bag. It’s then up to the fashionista to decided what to choose. In her case, she chose a stylish dark olive backpack. While it has its functional uses, you can also just carry it because it looks cool, so it’s really a win-win. And I was totally living for that sweet Rick and Morty pin! You can’t go wrong with Rick and Morty.
