Coffee shops are often considered the universal meeting spot. At some point in your life you’ve made plans with a friend, family member, or even a date to meet up for a cup. I can guarantee that if you walk down any main street in your town, you’ll find at least one, especially if you live in a major city. They’ve become a cultural staple and are definitely here to stay.
Whenever I head back home, whether it’s for a few hours or an entire day, I love to head down to the local coffee shop to meet up with friends. It’s a spot where everyone who works there knows my name and I know theirs. You have your dedicated regulars that I often socialize with and beautiful scenery to enjoy while you sip from your favorite cup.
I love the color black. Whether it’s in my clothes or in my coffee, I just can’t get enough. It’s a bold color that makes a statement without even trying. You know that when someone walks into the room with an all black outfit on, they mean business. And while many years ago, an all black outfit may have meant that you were a tortured soul that listened to The Cure and Depeche Mode, these days it’s something that is more socially acceptable. Fashion is ever changing and I’m glad to see the pendulum has swung this way.
This fashionista’s outfit is quite literally to die for. She’s making a statement with this look. One of my favorite parts about this outfit is the soft Misfits cardigan. It’s something that anyone can wear, whether you listen to the band or not. I’ve never been a fan of people who get absolutely up in arms when you tell them you’ve never heard a word from the band who’s merchandise you’re sporting. Don’t be a douche! Getting back on track, this cardigan is definitely something that is better worn in the fall and winter months. If you try to rock it in summer, just be prepared to sweat your butt off.
Although I didn’t get a clear shot of it (I forgot), this fashionista had a really awesome tank top on underneath the cardigan. It had a pair of cool skulls on either side of the shirt, both sporting flower crowns. You’re never too hardcore for flower crowns!
The faux leather boots this fashionista is sporting really add to the outfit. They remind me of the movie series The Matrix. They have that digital, cyber goth vibe you’d find any character in the movie wearing. And in almost every article I’ve written so far, I really try to get across the importance of matching your shoes with your outfit. If you’re going for an edgy or rough look, you certainly don’t want to be wearing a pair of cream pumps. It just wouldn’t mesh.
So, what’s your go-to color when you’re shopping for clothes? Are you an all black kind of person or do you exclusively rock the color red? Let me know in the comments below!
