Trends are an important part of fashion. Whether you follow them or not, they determine what’s a hot seller and what needs to be left in the past. If you’re on top of the fashion food chain, you get a say in what makes it to every fast fashion store in America. If you’re on the bottom of the fashion food chain, however, you most likely pick up the leftovers of the trend once it becomes a thing of the past. In some cases, a trend gets special treatment and makes a comeback. If you haven’t gotten rid of those once-trendy pieces and they still fit, you have something that is not only vintage but also trendy yet again.

There are many times when you see a trend from another era and want to emulate every look, not being able to stop yourself from fawning over them. There are many times when I have looked at an image and tried my hardest to recreate the look I see before me. There are some cases that I just can’t, no matter how hard I try. In those cases it’s almost always because the look is too old, and cannot be found anywhere but a museum. I wish time travel were available because I would totally love to try on a farthingale and wear a powdered wig.

Today’s fashionista is wearing a look that is of another era, but in many ways so modern and chic. Wearing a shorter shirt that shows off your belly is all the rage right now and has been a recurring trend for a few decades. She chose a really cute color, that isn’t in your face; you can’t help but love it. I think the way the shirt is cut at the top is great, as well, because it gives you the ability to wear a cool statement necklace.

Making a statement is what I’m all about, so it’s natural that I love to see someone else doing it. A flashy necklace like the one this fashionista is wearing is a sure fire way to become the center of attention. The beautiful gold color can really enhance any outfit you wear it with. The layers of the necklace add depth to the outfit and look awesome cool when you move. Just ask this fashionista. She’s the epitome of cool!

These awesome floral harem pants totally remind me of the seventies. I can’t help but think of Clockwork Orange when I look at them, or the wallpaper you’d see plastered on your grandparent’s wall, not that there’s anything wrong with that at all! Like the necklace paired with this outfit, these pants draw attention to the wearer. The bright colors compliment the outfit as a whole, especially the top. On a hot summer day you need clothing with movement, and this is perfect. You can stay cool but still look chic.

The shoes with this outfit are absolutely perfect! They totally match the earthy, carefree vibe these fashionista’s outfit is giving. Not only that but they are super comfortable and won’t hurt your feet after walking around all day. These shoes don’t take away from the outfit, which is totally necessary. If you have an already flashy outfit, you don’t want to add to it. That might really make you a walking eyesore. That isn’t the case with this fashionista; she definitely knows how to put together an outfit.
